Mr. Manharsinh Laxmanbhai Yadav (葉達夫) joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2007. After completing two year of training in New Delhi, he was posted in the Permanent Mission of India to the UN Offices in Geneva in 2009. He covered work related to trade, technology and development issues in various intergovernmental organizations in Geneva. During this period, he was also a member of the UN Secretary General’s Experts Group for Improvements in Internet Governance.
During 2011-2014, he was Second Secretary in the Embassy of India to the EU, Belgium, and Luxembourg in Brussels. He was in charge of political relations with the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg.
He was Deputy Secretary in National Security Council Secretariat in New Delhi, during 2014-2016. In this role, he covered issues related to foreign policy that had an impact on national security.
He, thereafter, was posted to the Embassy of India, Washington from 2016-2017. There he functioned as Special Assistant to the Ambassador of India to the United States and was First Secretary in-charge of political work.
From January 2018 to January 2023, he worked as Director in the Prime Minister’s Office. In this role, he assisted the prime minister and other senior officials on issues related to Foreign Policy, Defence and Science & Technology. He has contributed in formulation and implementation of various far-reaching policies related to Science & Technology including Nuclear, Space, Telecommunication and Information Technology.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) degree from Gujarat University. He has working knowledge of English, Hindi and French. His areas of interest are international relations, public policy related to technology, traveling and playing chess.
